Our Story

Support a Pal emerged when Walker Brandt noticed a sign reading ‘No In Person Visits At This Time’ on the sliding doors of what was his Grandmother's Senior home. While necessary for physical safety, these precautions also underline the obstacles seniors are facing with limited platforms for remote socialization.
Walker and co-creator Lars Delin met in a course while at Wesleyan University called "Uncertainty and the Future". The lessons of the class set the tone of their friendship and inspired their interest in social entrepreneurship. Lars is quarantining in Istanbul Turkey with his grandparents and Walker is located in New York. The two are navigating a 7 hour time difference to create a platform to connect those across generations making social distancing more social.
